Has anyone found a good colour for the new livery. I have heard Boeing grey with a mica overcoat. But would prefer an acrylic or common brand alternative. Skodadriver Posted January 27, 2018 Share Posted January 27, 2018 Everybody probably has their own favourite metallic finish. Some people swear by foil but it's a lot of hard work. When Turbofan did his wonderful AA Boeing 727 he used Mr Metal Color Chrome Silver and the results speak for themselves. Personally I could never get along with Alclad and nowadays I always use AK Interactive Xtreme Metal. It's available in most of the same colours as Alclad and I find Aluminium is a good basic natural metal finish. As far as the new livery is concerned, there was a short and inconclusive discussion on Airliner Cafe earlier this year but I'm afraid I can't be any more help.
