Roger Newsome
Thank you JR. I'm just motivating myself to do some more painting at the moment. The danger now is to mess up what I've managed so far but I'm feeling the lure of the airbrush. Where in the North Sea were you? We are in the Ninian Field. Roger Newsome
Update on my progress. I've given it a couple of coats of gloss varnish and added the decals. Next I'll see what I can do with the raised panel lines and then there's the pile of primed wheels, stores etc. to attend to.
Roger Newsome
Some washes applied, hopefully it looks a bit more realistic now.
PZRGREN
Looking good, used but not over used. Does the kit have much in the way of ordanance?

Thanks PZRGREN. The ordnance is pretty simplistic but to be fair so is the rest of the kit. Underneath there will be a centre line fuel tank and from in to out AGM-84, AGM-88 and AIM-9's. There's also a couple of other missiles on the sprue which aren't mentioned in the instructions, Lord knows what they are.
Roger Newsome
This is where I'm at now. Just the weapons and pylons to paint and attach followed by touch up's and miscellaneous tinkering until I tire of tinkering and call it done. 😁

Roger Newsome
Not a good day for model or any other kind of work. But the ordnance won't paint and attach themselves. Not an easy task but they're on. The end is in sight.
Lifeline
That kind of sea state and you still paint?? Man you really got a sailor's stomach... I would've be just lying flat in my cabin and cursing myself on why I work miles away from steady part of earth...! I think you should consider making a real tie down for the Hornet so it won't fly off your desk Cheers, Mario Indonesia
Roger Newsome
Don't worry Mario, I was cursing alright. 😃 It's now tucked away safely, hopefully, in my drawer. I have a feeling we're in for an uncomfortable night. Oh well if I can't sleep I might have to do some online shopping. 😁

Lifeline
Great job, Roger...love the weathering. Now how you're going to pack it inside the baggage? Cheers, Mario Indonesia Edited February 20, 2018 by Lifeline

I'll blame the dodgy ships internet, crewchange etc. etc. Thank you very much. A couple of missiles came off on the way home but nothing that couldn't be repaired.
