Modelholic
I'm thinking the newer batches of Tammy OD are too green. What colours can be added to convert the new bottles of Tamiya Olive Drab back to the old colour? (I'm leaning towards a smidge of black and maybe brown and then adjusting up slowly) Tom Edited January 20, 2018 by Modelholic changing title
AgentG
I've used Tamiya XF-59, Desert Yellow in various amounts to take down the green. I've also used XF-60, Dark Yellow to lighten it up and make it less green as well. G
Rabbit Leader
How about starting off with XF-51 Khaki and then adding the new XF-61 to it? Just a thought. Cheers.. Dave
Phantome
Funny, I had the suspicion that newer versions of XF-81 RAF Dark Green were too olive compared to older tins. I assumed that it was age but it could be that they have been subtly changing the formulas. I'm not a huge fan of XF-62 for an OD. Too green AND too dark. Gunze H78 is much better. All other acrylics (Vallejo, MiG, etc.) are too brown for my liking.
