JohnT
Now that's what I'd call a labour of love tinged with madness http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-cornwall-42750033/ark-royal-model-started-in-1992-is-ready
pigsty
Ooh crumbs! I make that something like 1/62 scale ... so presumably all the aircraft are scratch-built as well?
Radpoe Spitfire
Good effort fella, extremely well done. The 1/96th scale HMS Hermes displayed at SYAM in Doncaster is blowing enough- this is its equal.😲🖒👏
Army_Air_Force
I gave up on big models after my planes got bigger and more expensive than the family car!! I'm back to just plastics now, but even my longest aircraft project was only a 5 year build. Not sure I could keep momentum for 20 + years on one build. Hat's off to him for keeping at it. The nationals have picked this up from my local paper where I think he said the model is 1/72, which will have made life a little easier for him. He also said that the most difficult bit was getting the lifts to operate. The journo's text claimed the model had an "operating" radar: I think they meant that the Type 965 rotates.
