Gorby
After a good bath they are looking a lot more grubby - much better.

FredG
Things keep gathering with this little lot. It will definitely finish up a bit more complicated than originally planned
FredG
I think I've gathered together most of the figures I need. Including the obligatory impalement Once those Dragoons vacate the area I'll get a start on the emplacement.
FredG
The Dragoons have charged off after d'Erlon's Corps so the table is free. All primed and painting has commenced This little diorama may take a while, especially when more Austrian cavalry appeared this morning (Ooooooh it's tempting). Silver Fox
Nice work, I especially like the finish to the hides of the horses.
FredG
I got out the big axe and added some logs ( cocktail stick) to the front of the field piece emplacement. That's looking ok I think. A green wash helped the gabions look more like they were made from live wood. I threw a bit of black at the gun carriage and the wagon so they#re close to finished. We don't want them too tidy do we. The horse team I think are finished with paint, I quite like the look of them. I just need to connect them up to the wagon and get the Drivers painted. FredG
Well, after all, I wasn't finished painting the horses. The metal work and blanket straps had to be added. The effect on the harness chains I was pleased with. Painting on the figures has progressed. Still quite a bit to do on them. I had to replace the plastic elevation screw on the field piece, a quick drill and a length of wire did the job. The alteration to the emplacement for the field piece has been completed and base painted. There was an influx of accessories and I quickly sorted them with a bit of brushwork. The wash on the sacks should go matt as it dries better. The chickens are not too bad considering their size. Onwards

FredG
She's looking a little more business like now. I've bored her out to 4mm which gives 288mm in 1/72 scale. That's close enough to a British 10" siege mortar I think. Onwards Edited February 1, 2018 by FredG
FredG
The figures I believe are almost finished. A bit of washing and bases painted and that should do them. Note that the Revell figures are wearing oilskins on their shakos. The plume is also covered by the oilskin. That's the way the sculptor made them so I've painted them that way too.

FredG
It's basing time Make the gun platform for the field piece. Make three more sections of planking, paint, wash and add to the prepared base. Add emplacement and gabions. Wait for the PVA to set (the boring bit).
