Junkers G 23 Plastikard 1/72

Recommended Posts

Recently I've been gluing something up from time to time. It fell on this tinware. the "challenge" was repair a  trailing edge. Those who know the model, know what's going on. The second "challenge" was making a good shape of cokpit wholes . This element in the version straight from the box, unfortunately got bad shape to, and this is a quite important place.

Nice job on the Junkers. I know from experience this is not an easy kit, although I did make my job more difficult by having PE seats for the passengers and a movable door to show those ;-)

So what did you do to the trailing edges? I have this kit in stash and going to build it rather sooner or later but this is THE problem with this kit and I haven't yet came up with the plan of attack.

One of the options is described here:

http://scalemodels.ru/articles/2850-izgotovlenie-gofrirovannykh-rulevykh-poverkhnostejj.html

in Russian but there are self descriptive pictures.

This approach, however, is quite labour intensive

spiton,

OMG! :wub::wub:

I think it is one EXQUISITE looking model.

I have a photograph of MY uncle from WWII who was posted to North Africa at al standing near Emperor Haile  Selasé's personal aircraft and IT WAS THIS kind but until today did not know which aircraft it was.

it was confiscated from Selasé.

the photos are AWESOME too as is your Model.. :yikes:

Quite STUNNING.

BRAVO.:mike:
