Quick intro

Hello all,

just a quick word of introduction as I am new to the site and back in the game after a 26-year hiatus from the hobby. Currently in the process of pulling all the bits and bobs together to get cracking on a second-issue Airfix Spitfire Mk. 1 Superkit. I stuck one together yonks ago that I had purchased from pocket money at the old hobby shop in Canterbury city centre (the name, shamefully now escapes me).

 

Currently based in Chicago for the time being and looking forward to participating here as time allows. If anyone has any suggestions on where to find drawings for a supporting wing spar for my Spit project, they would be greatly welcomed. If memory serves, the dihedral on this kit is a bit tricky to achieve and my previous attempt in the late 80s ended up looking rather a lot like a depressed seagull...
