PhantomBigStu
Had this nearly a year and never got round to it as GBs always took priority. So naturally a GB gets this out Edited February 16, 2018 by PhantomBigStu

PhantomBigStu
Together, big problem with the front canopy, there’s a big sprue attachment as that won’t sand out 2

Romeo Alpha Yankee
I really had to zoom in on your picture to see the issue with the canopy. A bit of sanding with very fine sandpaper (or micro mesh ) will get rid of most of it followed by a gloss coat Stu.
Julien
That front canopy is heavily framed so just run your paint line slightly higher, no one will notice, plus stick a simulated pilots map or something behind it to distract the eye. I have some pictures if they would help of the canopy. JUlien
PhantomBigStu
WIll do Julian, finally got through painting, had to do a fair bit of sanding and that takes a fair amount of time with such a complex paint scheme. Now just to add the pylons and clean the canopy up before I can add the decals
PhantomBigStu
Canopy came off when cleaning it up so decided to add a pilot, painted a spare airfix up only to find he was too tall, fortunately airfix also did some underscale modern pilots in a couple of kits which I had one spare so painted that up reattached the canopy and its ready for decals
PhantomBigStu
Decals all on, now just the weapon and final matt coat, at a quandary with the bombs, usually use humbrol 155 for US bombs, but my pot of that has solidified, dunno whether to wait for the hornby restock arives at my local, cheat and use Xtracrylix WW2 olive drab or order the modern version..... PhantomBigStu
Well it’s technically done, though I’ve used the tank for the stand hole, and it’s a struggle to get the tank to say attached to it’s pylon.
PhantomBigStu
Done now, seems to be holding solid

Knight_Flyer
That was quick, didn't seem that long I was looking at early progress pics. Yup, looks the part with the ordnance fitted.
zebra
Nice work. I don't always arm my models but if I built an A-10 I'd have to - as yours shows, it really needs something on every pylon.
