The first one is my favorite.

 

 

The  P-51 D de Zoukai Mura 1/32.  Painting with Rub’N Buff , Decals from  Zotzdecals,  " The Flying Undertaker"

Looks real. That's always my test of a great model. Now my phone has the capability of connecting directly to my TV. A 4K, 44 inch model. Even under that that pitiless enlargement. They look real. It doesn't get better than that.

Those 'Stangs are modelling (and photographic!) masterpieces. That first photo against the rising/setting sun… :yes:

 

I'm very interested in how you applied the Rub'n'Buff. Once upon a time I got very good results by diluting silver R'n'B in equal parts cellulose thinner and white spirit and then airbrushing after straining the mixture through a ladies' stocking.


Did you use any clear coating before/after decalling? If so, did your choice of varnish affect the metallic look of the R'n'B?

The best model I’ve seen, ever. I can show this to anyone and they will think this is a real plane. I thought the photo with the pilot was a real colorized photo. I have some questions for you:

 

1. How did you use the rub n buff? What color

 

2. Is it better than Humbrol Metalcote?
