I can see you've dealt with them - just wondering how. Thanks. I filled the ports and then brush painted a rectangle of Italeri flat aluminium over them, to represent a metal plate or doped fabric. Probably not terribly accurate, but I think it looks better than leaving it bare.

SimonL
On the finals stages now, resisting the temptation to rush things. Finished off the decals with the stencils from the kit and the serial from the spares box. A brushed on coat of Italeri Acryl Gloss clear and then a bit of a panel wash with some oils - not too much though as I want to keep this one relatively clean. Just the canopy and undercarriage to go, and some minor bits and pieces. Considering her armament had possibly been removed, would the gunsight have been removed as well?
Biggles87
That's looking really good, and you're right not to rush it at this stage. John
Max Headroom
That is a very attractive scheme which has been beautifully applied. Trevor

I remember pondering that on my build- it just doesn't make sense fitting the sight. I fitted mine out of habit, and then realised it had to go. SimonL
Finally got around to finishing this (some work and health issues). Made a bit of botch of the windscreen, but pretty happy with how this turned out. More photos to follow in RFI. Thanks for following, and thanks to @rob Lyttle for the useful info during the build.

rob Lyttle
She's looking brilliant, Simon. Well done! Differences in the various surfaces is convincing. Hope you're feeling good now. I'm a bit interested in the DC 3 in the background. I've just done two of them in commercial airlines décor. The italieri kit in Air France, and it donated the Lufthansa scheme to an old Airfix Dakota. I loved doing them!
Azgaron
Excellent work! It's a beauty! Seems like a nice kit! Håkan

Not sure at this point - need to go an see a specialist 😞 Another stalled build, hope to finish in July when I have some time off. This is the SEAC markings boxing of the new Airfix kit - so far its gone together pretty well. Just baulked at the window masking stage. I have actually purchased a mask set for this kit. Doing it out of the box as I am sucker for SEAC markings. 5 hours ago, Azgaron said: Excellent work! It's a beauty! Seems like a nice kit!
