ahhhh crap think you are right.... and its all glued up so dont think i can change it....

Oh no... presumably that means both front wheels are on the wrong side of the vehicle? Would it be possible to carefully cut the wheels off, drill out the plastic axles and swap the wheels back using some thick-ish wire to hold them in place?

Meant the wheel is built from  3 parts that are glued together. Only blue-tacked to chassis. Hoping the kit stops you building the wrong. Will double check when I get home

how about "tyre recovered from another vehicle during a lull in fighting... not had chance to remount the rubber on the hub so its backwards".... would explain it ;-)

It's looking great. I saw a similar beast at Bovington a couple of weeks ago- it's huge. Apparently crews weren't happy with the high silhouette of it.

Yeah I can imagine. It's about the same height as the M4A1 I just completed....

getting close... turret mounted (hmmm the hatch when open stops the turret rotating - hey ho)... turret basket is attached by 2 1mm rods - not the sturdiest - glued up and mow resting for 24+hours (not giving up much hope for that). Dont think I will add the shells as i dont have any suitable paint... you wont see much anyway (lazy i know)

managed to get her buttoned up (just - small bit of filling to do once the glue sets). Just the turret roof, 3 turret boxes and then perhaps some extra stowage and if i can find a spare a turret spotlight to go... might get painting started this weekend

Looking good, I didn't notice the wheel until someone mentioned it on Armorama, just go with: the tyre was fitted in a rush, in the dark

mr color buffable brass works well. i bought some real brass shells once and they look OK with a bit of a tone down too.

Looking forward to seeing this painted.

all set and masked ready for painting to start... weather means plans for this weekend have changed so I hope to get the white highlight and the sand colour down... not going to use black as it tends to tint the sand more green - and dark brown sends it too brown. white & "plastic grey" should do to add some pre-shading

I need to do some spraying too. but as that means standing in the garden, or with the patio doors open wide at least spraying outwards, ill give it a miss for a day or two or the wife will kill me.

base painted after slight pre-shade... back ot my usual over-zealous base coating so base inst too varied but dot-filter should ease that... next off gloss (trialling W&N acryllic gloss to see how it goes before using) then all of 2 decals....

That looks nice in colour and appears to have nice tonal variations across the various panels.
