amblypygid
My stash guilt quotient has substantially diminished this morning. Thanks, PC! Those cowlings look wonderful; I hope they go together easily (but, as always with multi-part cowlings, I fear not).
Courageous
Nobody has ever told me that I've forgotten my nav lights but then again, nobody has told me that I've made a crap model. A nice haul of kits there PC, a kit collector in all of us. Do we have enough life left to build our stashes...doubt it.
06/24
My experience of the cowlings is... not positive... so good luck PC
CedB
Nice work Gents - all four looking good Jon - do whatever you feel like with the nav lights and then forget 'em! Life's too short... Great stash PC - it must be really hard to decide what to build next. A couple of Bristols? Now that's an idea for me

johnd
As above, do as you feel like for the nav lights but if you're not going to cut them out I'd say silver rather than red/green. John.

06/24
I note that, in the world of injustice, our favourite Midwesterner* has not one but two, count 'em, two TSR.2 kits in the gentleman's scale and I have none. None I tell you. T'ain't right... He also has an entire flight of Lightnings, which while not such a cause for jealousy, does seem a tad, hmm, ambitious? He does not appear to have a Goose I can steal, so still stuck on that front. Stash envy is a terrible thing, but then so is basement envy, and I have both *other inferior Midwesterners may be available, but I know nothing of such pale imitations...

06/24
So I am officially an idiot Interior green on the Mk I cockpit, so far so good: Blenheim oops by jongwinnett, on Flickr Might as well undercoat the turrets while I have paint in the airbrush, doh! Blenheim oops by jongwinnett, on Flickr Forgot to mask the openings... So I fully expect overspray on the insides. If it won't clear off, I have spares, but will have another tedious masking job. I applied a Mk 1 thumb to cover the opening, but doubt it was sufficient. All in the low bake oven (airing cupboard) overnight to harden off. A few few hiccups are to be expected, airbrushing is still a novelty! 3
Stew Dapple
Looks good Jon; for masking gaps like the turret openings I recommend a cut-off piece of old washing up sponge; incredibly compressible it will spring back to fill an opening and can be removed with tweezers afterward... bit late with that information, I suppose, sorry Cheers, Stew Edit - good for landing gear bays and the like too...

06/24
Yeah, not too upset, not like when I thought I had goosed the cockpit windows - this should be retrievable (I hope). Beer and telly beckon, check on it tomorrow.
The Spadgent
Yes John I can highly recommend the sponge technique. Good luck with the over / in spray. I’m sure you’ll sort it after the canopy miracle the other day. I think you must have magic fixit fairies in your end of the woods. John
06/24
Impatience got the better of me. I think it'll be ok, and gave the insides a wipe clean with thinner, but on closer inspection the cockpit glazing joints are as rough as, so will need work and then a respray tomorrow.

Dampened paper towels/facial tissues/toilet paper work, too. Toilet paper, however, should be dampened only with tap water!
