Ian
Started on the 23rd, one of two quick'n easy 'Holiday Builds', simply because I can ! Hasegawa's still excellent Miura, built as it comes from the box with no additions. WiP pics here: Bodyshell is good old Humbrol enamels mixed by eye, interior is also my own mixes using Tamiya acrylics. Please feel free to make any comments, criticism or ask any any questions - yes I've fixed the (French) license plate since I took the photos. Stay tuned friends and all the very best for 2018. Ian.

ElectricLightAndy
Very nice job, I have the privilege of recently doing a lot of metalwork on one of these beauties, I had to fabricate and replace the entire floor pan and chassis sections, the cars just had it's final paint work done just before Christmas... Original orange of coarse, although blue looks nice too 🤡 Happy new year, Andy.

It would be a great opportunity to get some references for other forum members. [Apologies for hijacking the thread] Ian, nice clean build. Alpha Delta 210
Wow! What a beauty! It made me smile as my Dad won a bet with his brother because I was able to say "Lamborghini Miura" when I was a toddler with a vocabulary that was pretty much limited to "Mama" and "Dada"!

Hello, I only have a few pics as we are not supposed to take pictures (bloody stupid) a couple whilst I worked on the floors and a couple as it sits now... After a £50,000 paint job 😵 but I can post them on this thread if @Ian does not mind?

keefr22
Don't fancy re-doing the floorpan and boot repairs my son & I have done to our Mini do you @ElectricLightAndy?! That's really beautiful metal work Andy and shows just what a pair of bodgers we are! @Ian, missed your Lambo due to BM's Christmas outage and subsequent lack of e-mail notifications, but glad I found it now as it's another real beaut off your workbench! I love that colour! Did you clear coat the Humbrol, or just polish it out? Lovely job! Keith
Ian
Brushed a couple of coats of Johnsons Klear, then allowed it to dry properly for 24hrs and then polished it. Glad you like it. Ian.
ElectricLightAndy
@keefr22 thank you, well this particular car is worth about 1.7 million so it needs to be good 🤣 the paint alone I think was around £50,000... And that's not a typing error! As for the mini, it's just patience and a million datum points and some more patience, I also find a descent selection of swear words of varying intensities helps lol! @Ian I would never have guessed that was brushed klear, it's a fantastic finish, whenever I try to brush stuff it drags and looks awful... I'm lazy and use an airbrush instead 😀 Andy.
PatW
Fantastic build, a favourite car of mine. I was recently in a local filling station getting a Sunday newspaper and one rolled in with a four seat Ferrari 400, they were going to a classic car race meeting at the nearby Silverstone Circuit!

Oh, there's always plenty of those flying around!! Only saving grace is the Mini is probably worth less than 0.5% of that Lambo, & is being built as a stage rally car so just needs to be strong, not pretty...!!
