JeffreyK
Guys, does anyone have recommendations for etched scribing templates for piano hinges in 1:48? So far, I've only found a Dream Model tool: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/DMTOOL02 but it's a bit pricey and it's hard to guess whether the size of the teeth are appropriate for 1:48... Any other ideas? Alternatively, I'll have to cut the teeth into brass one by one, but that wouldn't be as accurate as an etched product. Gorby
That looks like the one I bought from evilbay a couple of months ago: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stainless-steel-PE-Photo-etched-Tools-Scribing-Panel-Rivet-Template-DT02/252162234113?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648 Took about a month to arrive but I wasn't in a hurry and it was the best price scribing template I could find. Mike
These exact same templates were once available under LionRoar's brand. True story. Source: I have a set.
JeffreyK
Cheers, some more digging brought up this set: http://www.royalmodel.eu/en/tools-accessories/15-airplanes-templates-stencil-148.html But I think I'll order the Dream Model one as well, from the Big H as I can't wait a month for post from China... JeffreyK
Where is the Dream Model set gone? When I posted this there was one in stock, now I wanted to place the order and it's out of stock!!
Gorby
Sorry, I was getting mixed up with something else. I've just checked and it took 9 days to arrive from China.
JeffreyK
Cheers, let's see. I've ordered the one from Italy and the Dream Model set from China, who get's there first? Still puzzled about the Hannants thing - perhaps someone viewing this thread got an idea and ordered the one in stock? Or just exceptional coincidence... Thanks everyone and Happy New Year!
