close to finished!

looks great!

regarding the Germetika, I think it looks fantastic that way, maybe a bit too even.....

for next time, cou could try and use NEW WARE paint masks for inner and outer side:

did not try them myself yet, but very tempted to use them on my next MiG-25, or even the -31.....

just mix your own pink from red and white and apply it rough....

speaking of this, looking forward to your next build already!

cheers,

Werner

Y'won't believe I've used these tiny strands of tutti-frutti chewing gum to simulate my Germetika. Ever since then ants seemed to dig visiting my Kitty Hawk 1/48 MiG-25 Foxbat from time to time.

@Bosse: Axel is looking so mature!

Hi.

@Unc - Thanks, well the kids grow up no matter what you do.  :D

I didn't finish the MiG last evening.
I wasn't pleased with look of the canopies.
So I painted over the decals with some pink.
I wasn't so keen to use bubble gum. :D

Later today I'll put the canopies in place and with that it'll be done.

Hi.
I've only got some fiddly bits left now.
I've painted over all the germetika decal with Humbrol 61

I think it's close enough, considering all the pictures I've studied the last days.
I only have to fit the canopies and the pitot tube, and then the Mighty MiG is done.

To be continued.....

Good evening.
I'm done with my MiG.
Yesterday I glued the pitottube in place.

Then the canopies went on.

After that the pitot tube got some paint.

And with that I ended up with a finished MiG.
And I have to say that I'm very pleased with the result.

So now this build is finished.
And it's been an absolutely joy to build this one.

I'll will definitely build another one some day.
Next time it'll be a BM from the Russian Navy.

So I says thanks for watching this thread and on Monday I'll start a new one.

That is to says if DHL will deliver this beauty that just arrived at my local webshop.

I've been waiting since february for this one, and it'll go straight to the worktable without passing through the stash. :D
