Shelliecool
Hi, so I'm pretty annoyed that Flickr no longer works, so I'm looking for an alternative photo sharing app. Anyone out there got ny ideas? Not being able to add photos to my posts defeats the point of blogging on here. Thanks, Michelle
Bill.B
Try using the ‘Shares for Flickr’ app, it works just fine on my iPad and iPhone
Gorby
A few of us use Village photos, @Bullbasket has done a 'how to use' guide. It's far from perfect, but it works and it's free to use.
Jasper dog
Hi, I'm in the same boat, need a photo app/thing that works for my Samsung phone and/or tablet. I've read all the blurb regarding bbcodes etc but this isn't an option with the app or my old tablet and apparently i need a Yahoo acc to do it from the computer. Not keen on the look of imgur as the apps don't seam to get good reviews any thoughts? Might go and have a look at Village Photos. One of these days might even get around to making a kit or two! Merry Christmas. Darryl
Jasper dog
Any one use Instagram? If so does it work, any good? looks more user friendly etc than imgur. Cheers Darryl

Cheers Darryl Not much use for a forum like this I'd think - Instagram compresses the picture drastically, so they don't display particularly well when viewed on a laptop or desktop screen. What's the issue with the bbcodes? It takes a bit of practice to get the knack for selecting them on an Apple device, (just the physical selection, not finding the link) but on a PC they work fine. Is there no option at all to use them on Android?
Jasper dog
Non I can find, however I am a bit of a ludite! Thanks for the heads up on Instagram. Getting a new tablet in the new year that might allow me to play with the bbcodes my very old kindle fire shows them but won't let me do anything with them. Flickr wants a Yahoo acc to do anything on the computer is this norm? The beauty of app is I can do it whilst spending "quality time" with Mrs M or just have 5min to spare. perdu
I use postimage.org Sign up, open a new gallery, upload pictures to the site In a test a few months ago it took me seven minutes to: A: take pictures. B: upload them into postimage. C: display them here in Britmodeller. I could never achieve such posting performance on Flickr or Photobucket. Imgur is said to be good but I found getting set up a bit finicky TBH so it's not one I use Edited December 23, 2017 by perdu
Jasper dog
After just reading the above recommendation regarding postimage, I've just tried it from my Samsung phone and it works! Result, just what I was looking for, thanks Perdu that was ideal. Cheers all
