Plumbum
Are there any aftermarket decals in 1/72 for the Korean War F-86E El Diablo? I am hesitant to use the Academy ones, I've never had luck with their decals printed in Korea. Thanks---John
Junchan
I built "El Diablo" many decades ago using a Microscale decal No. 72-245. The decal is still available from Amazon or LOTS of Models at: https://lots-of-models.myshopify.com/products/microscale-decals-1-72-korean-war-sheet-3-decal-sheet-72-245 There is a photo of El Diablo on page 46 of Mig Alley by Larry Davis which shows that El Diablo had slatted wings. Plumbum
Thanks, I have both the Osprey book and Squadron book showing F-86E-10-NA, El Diablo with slats deployed which is how I am modelling it. I tried Academy decals years ago with an F-117 and the decals fell off after they dried. Every Academy kit I have bought since I have used after market decals.---John
