Pelican
Hello, This is the Academy F/A-18A+ converted into a spanish EF-18A (Modernized). The only after-market part is the decals. The kit is really very good, better than the old Hasegawa. The camouflage is a bit odd, definitely not the regular Spanish Air force one, probably applied during a maintenance work. ModellerUK
Fantastic work! I’m more of a Tornado lover myself but the Hornet definitely has a place in my heart as being one of the prettiest aircraft out there.
Alpha Delta 210
Great result and lovely to see a Spanish Hornet instead of the more usual US Navy schemes.

Romeo Alpha Yankee
I really like the whole build, weathering looks great and the fact you modified to the wings to drop the flaps and slats is a testament to your scratch building skills. Cookenbacher
Excellent Hornet - the drooped flaps look fantastic.

Vultures1
Excellent work! You've clearly done a lot of scratchbuilding on your Hornet (flaps, ladder and perhaps undercarriage?) and it looks great in that unusual Spanish scheme
Pelican
Thank you for your comments and likes, @Vultures1 well spoted! Indeed there are some scratchbuilding mainly for the slats/flaps, ladder and the nosegear. IMHO a parked F/A-18 must have its slats/flaps in down position. Actually cutting and shaping the flaps take less than 2 hours, no need to purchase after-market item here. Also I removed the catapult launch bar that is sometimes not fitted. eng
Absolutely stunning work, could easily pass for a bigger scale. Quick fancy having a go at the Academy one I have in the stash now! Eng
Niknak
Very nice, the f-18 is one of the few American jets I like.
Navy Bird
Excellent work duplicating the patchwork paint from the maintenance erks. You've really captured the look of that bug. Great! Cheers, Bill

Habu12
It's not sometimes, the launch bar was never fitted to Spanish bugs. Dirty bird! Dig it!
Pelican
Sometimes there is something, not necessarily a catapult launch bar but ....a bar
