Classic Airfix 1/72 Ju88A

Recommended Posts

Here is the original Ju88 built mostly out of the box with vac-form clear parts and replacement wheels.  I used Model Master paints.  Decals from the decal binder.

Very nice!  A real inspiration to extract my old kit from the dark depths of long term storage and make the attempt.  Which vac-form canopy set did you use?

Bill

Hey Bill,

I used the original clear parts as the masters and used my Mattel Vac-U-Form machine to make copies.  I don't think any aftermarket versions would work.

Thank you.

Slick work!

Kind regards,

Thank you Joachim and Martin.  Any kit can be built up nicely with a bit of care, lots of putty, and patience. :)

I appreciate it.

Another lovely job.

And another I remember from the '60's.

Box art was an 88 diving on a ship IIRC.

JU88 A-4?

Yes that was the kit I built.  The kit is a mishmash of various versions so I just called a Ju88 :)
