Karlo
Helllo Well model is built and ready for paint i did few thin layers with brush of upper and bottom surface but i was struck. Looking at instruction sheet for upper surface color is FS 36270 and for bottom surface FS 36375. https://www.revell.de/fileadmin/import/images/bau/04999_%23BAU_SAAB_JAS_39C_GRIPEN.PDF FS36375 FS36270 I used vallejo medium sea grey (FS36270) and vallejo light grey (FS36375) and the result is this.... : IMG_20171211_182114 by Karlo Miletić, on Flickr Upper surface was painted with medium sea grey and bottom with light grey. I don't know what to do, but i think it is ruined :/
Christer A
That was a little strange mix that Revell recommended. Not totally wrong, but not totally right either. The Vallejo representation of those colors are way off though! If you could swap them around, it would look a lot better. The old truth was that Gripen uses something close to 36173 on top and 36373 on the bottom, like this http://www.colorserver.net/showcolor.asp?fs=36173+36373 Now, I would buy MrPaint 222 (panzer grey) and 223 (dove grey), which are a very close match for Gripen. Not a paint that can be brushed on unfortunately. 1

Karlo
Thank you for your help, i mixed few shades of grey at home and i think i'm close enough . Here are photos of repainted aircraft, at some spots i will need a bit sanding but it is ok i think. Some areas will need a tiny layer but i think it is ok. "Only" missiles, decals and weathering are left, but i am not 100% sure how to weather it. Maybe only do some highlights and panel line wash.
Christer A
That's a fine ideal for weathering. Maybe some soot around the APU exhaust towards the fin? The A-models could ger very dirty there, haven't looked that closely on the C to know for sure through.

Aircraft is finished, only few more details left. Now the thing i hate, and that are missiles and fuel tank . Here are some more photos with weathering completly done and decals on. It was fun model to build, engraving could be a bit better. Didn't use any reisin, just used old needle for nose tip !
