IanC
Hello. I recently completed this Airfix 1/72 Spitfire. Not the most complex build of all time but about all I have time for at the moment, and I've never done one with a two-bladed prop. Duxford-based 19 Squadron, of course. To be truly accurate I should have recreated the painted out serial and outer yellow of the fuselage roundels, both of which are visible on photos of the real thing. No weathering as yet, but I might add some at a later date. Paints are a combination of Sovereign Colourcoats and Tamiya. Thanks Ian

Corsairfoxfouruncle
Great looking Spitfire 👍 ... I thought they only used the split Black/White bottoms during the Battle of Britain era. I had no idea they predated the war ?

Yes, I think it was Dowding himself who suggested the idea in 1937 to aid tracking of friendly fighters by the Observer Corps. Thanks for all the comments.
