Jeddahbill
Greetings! Vintage issue of the Cessna 01-D Bird Dog in early Viet Nam USAF markings of 19th TASS from July 1963. Very nice older kit, except for the clear parts. Many thanks for having a look, your questions and comments are always welcome. Cheers, Bill 46

TonyW
An exceptionally clean build. It could pass for a larger scale quite easily. Tony.
Jeddahbill
Many thanks for the kind words! I used the excellent Print Scale decal sheet (#72-131) which has markings for many aircraft.

Booty003
Superb little model, looks fantastic and one not seen built too often. I have one in the stash that I will be build one day as a tribute to the FAC guys.
Britman
Lovely job on a good little kit. Just occurred to me,wouldn't it be nice if Airfix revisited this nice little kit and maybe made some cash on what must have paid for itself by now? Oh, and perhaps a new mold Auster to go with it.
RidgeRunner
You've done her proud, mate. You are right, a nice kit. I built one in the 1970s. At that time I experimented with cellulose car paints and the top wing surface just melted!!! Martin
noelh
Always liked that kit. I built it in the Vietnamese markings many years ago. You did a great job of it.
TheLurker
I remember building one of these up in 19 seventy mumble and thinking at the time what a lovely little aeroplane it was. Thanks for the memory jog.

JosephLalor
That looks great. Judging by the apparent lack of coke-bottle effect I'd say that at the least the wing centre-section transparencies were replaced. You've got me wanting to dig mine out now. andy.m
That's a lovely little plane. Like others, I built one in the seventies and recall getting gloss paint where it shouldn't have been. 😳
