very useful.

Blimey are you have having problems fixing your Lanc? There are garages out there that deal with that sort of thing you know? I believe they charge very favourable rates if you get it MOT'd at the same time :D

Still feeling rotten this morning so I thought the only thing for it was decals.

I found a pic of the very jet I’m making.

24927972047_d4ea210a64_b.jpg

It has the “pointy” missilesand that re-fuel thing. Is that what that is? I’ll add them to my build as sub assemblies.

i couldn’t quite decide how to decal her. I’ll need to top coat and weather her after decals and top coat again, so to safe me the pain of constant masking I’ll decal and weather the camo while the underside is still masked then do the underside. Sounds like a plan right.:lalala:

glossed And top decals on.

I’ll let them settle before another gloss coat ready for A weather wash. I think I’ll Flory the top and Oil wash the metal parts.

Thanks for dropping by. See ya’ll soon.

Ciao

Thanks. On a side note, the side roundel stripe decal ended up being tha same green as the paint. Not sure if that’s how it’s meant to be but it looks good to me.

Aaaand all off.

nice and subtle, just picking out the panel lined and details.

I did a Matt coat before removing the lower masks.

That little red decal on the wing has confirmed beautifully.

the nose ring went on,

I just have to paint a bit of glare strip on it. I should have done that before gluing but what you gonna do? :rage:

the lower masks are off.

I must now spend at least some time with the other inhabitants of the house. I tidied up and wrote what I thought were the last few steps to completion.:fool: ok I give it a few more weeks then.

See y’all later.

hope you’re having a super weekend.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, I hope you have been having a spiffy week so far. A little more completed on the old electric wonder over the last day or two. First off. Holy pin marks batman! :fool:

I do hope they are pin marks because I filled ‘em with ppp. The other odd and sods got sanded and tidied and constructed.

38982326925_950e5bd6de_b.jpg

The Pointy missiles got popped together, they’ll need a sand.

26008276158_b3d2f85888_b.jpg

All those things then got a blast of primer.

39882115351_f645a09357_b.jpg

thats everything there except the squeal.

I’ll let that dry and move on with the main airframe decals.

39170881334_3160e2188f_b.jpg

everything went on rather well. I’ll need to mask and spray with metal varnish. I’ll use the new AB and the thinner this time.:guitar:

ooh yes I got the flaps in, they’re a pretty good fit actually so I might leave them so that they’re moveable.:yahoo:

and here from tother side.

Oh and on a slightly more WW2 note I may have had a slight wallet malfunction.

I managed to win these on EBay for just over £35.

looks like I’m in for a whole heap of bending action.:mental: @TheBaron didn’t you recommend a cheap bending tool? Was it any good?

Any hoo, I’m off to Bedfordshire. I hope you liked the electric progress. Not long to go now.

Catch you all later.

Johann, I did and yes it is.

The smaller 59mm one at £16 is fine for me at 1/72:

Chris' suggestion looks even more promising though given the length of some of that etch you have (plus the fact you work at that outlandish 'for small children / large print' scale of yours :P):

I use the Radu Brinzan etch folder (the R5 in my case), which can be enhanced with additional bits for different tasks. Never tried any others, so I can't compare to them, but it usually does a good and quick job for me.  http://www.radubstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=77_79

Yes, you are! Just going through that pain at the moment, although as I'm doing a B.III (Special) I don't have to worry about the bomb bay stuff. I bought a couple of Tamiya folding pliers that are working quite well. About 2/3 through the interior stuff so far with a looong way to go!
