Crimea River
Just finished and placed in the display cabinet is my most recent project, a Bf109G-14 Blue 11 of 16/JG 5 flown by Karl-Heinz Erler at Rygge, April 1945. Decals are from the Kagero Top Colours series and the basis for the scheme is just a pair of pics as well as Kagero's colour interpretation. The fuselage camo is interpreted as standard 74/75/76 with heavy mottling whereas the main wings are deemed to be 74 and the lighter 77. Note the droopy antenna wire in the pics. I debated doing this as it is somewhat unusual on a 109 and will no doubt require explanation for those inspecting the model. Being one to replicate a historically accurate subject as best as possible though, I elected to replicate the feature. Anyway, here's the model: Thanks for looking in!

Spitfire31
An exemplary '09! Neat build all around with particularly tasty weathering. And that droopy antenna does look like a real, droopy antenna and not some last minute mistake – the insulators provide an alibi, to my eyes. Slick work! Kind regards, Joachim
Reini78
lovely work there good painting and weathering the antenna wire is correct when the mast was mounted on the Erla canopy, there was a special tensioning system for it, to say when the pilot locked the canopy my dad did the same on his model
Kampartiger
A menacing, weather beaten looking 109,like what you have done with it. Edited December 5, 2017 by Kampartiger lousy grammar
Crimea River
Thanks everyone. Reini I came across that build while researching the subject. Nicely done. One of my regrets was not adding the diagonal supports for the head armour but I had challenges fitting the canopy and didn't want to pry it of again to fix that.
