Dave Well I qualify for citizenship but need to find the time to fill out the forms! And maybe I won't be completely Aussie until I learn to say yoghurt the Aussie way... but very happy to be one of the colonial contingent in this GB! 1

SleeperService
As everybody else will be doing well known/widely used aircraft I'll be different. I'm in with an Airacobra, used by one squadron for a handful of operations. The other fron my Eduard Dual Combo will be in the P-39GB.

Rabbit Leader
"The Colonial Contribution" Latching on to an idea first proposed by @Romeo Alpha Yankee (Ray), here is a list of the 17 Australian and 6 New Zealand squadrons that took part in Article XV during WW2. I've also included possible examples of aircraft types that were used by each squadron in the hope that we can somehow manage to complete at least one subject per squadron. Happy for kits to be built from modellers across the world, however would think that the main trade would come from us "Colonials' this side of the date line. Should you be happy to join in, just earmark your Squadron and choice of aircraft, then make a frantic start on "100 day" - 01 April 2018. Between Red Roo and DK decals (just to name a few) there's plenty of decal sheets out there. "The Aussies" 450 Sqd - Hurricane, Kittyhawk, Mustang 451 Sqd - Hurricane, Spitfire 452 Sqd - Spitfire 453 Sqd - Buffalo, Spitfire 454 Sqd - Blenheim, Baltimore 455 Sqd - Hampden, Beaufighter 456 Sqd - Defiant, Beaufighter, Mosquito, 457 Sqd - Spitfire 458 Sqd - Wellington 459 Sqd - Blenheim, Hudson, Ventura 460 Sqd - Wellington, Halifax, Lancaster 461 Sqd - Sunderland 462 Sqd - Halifax 463 Sqd - Lancaster 464 Sqd - Ventura, Mosquito 466 Sqd - Wellington, Halifax 467 Sqd - Lancaster "The Kiwis" 485 Sqd - Spitfire 486 Sqd - Typhoon, Tempest 487 Sqd - Ventura, Mosquito 488 Sqd - Buffalo, Hurricane, Beaufighter, Mosquito 489 Sqd - Hampden, Mosquito 490 Sqd - Catalina, Sunderland I'd like to take part with a 455 Sqd Beaufighter, so who else is out there and would like to come to the aid of the "Mother Country"? Rabbit Leader
What a wonderful and impressive list of notable Canadian units and representative aircraft. Thanks for contributing all this information. I’m really hoping that modellers from all three countries can somehow pull this off and feel that it may gain a little more traction closer to April. We’ll wait and see. I wonder if the acronym CANZAC’s (Canadian, Australian, New Zealand Aerial Contribution) has ever been used to link all three countries together? Seems to have a nice ring to it. Welcome aboard, it should be lots of fun. Cheers.. Dave
Giorgio N
As a total foreigner, may I still take part building an RAF aircraft that was based for some reason in my country ? There were plenty of RAF units in Italy during WW2 of course and others were here based during a number of conflicts, for example over the Balkans and Libya. Would any of these be eligible ?

Enzo the Magnificent
My two choices for this GB will be incredibly mainstream and unoriginal - Battle of Britain Spitfire and Hurricane. The Spitfire may even be DW-D.
Cookenbacher
I've been researching and planning a 2nd TAF 126 Wing [401, 402, 411, 412 and 442 Sqns (all Canadian)] build for some time. After seeing the 'Colonial Contribution' idea above, I think this would be the perfect GB for it.

JOCKNEY
I've been giving this one a bit of thought and it would be great if we could have builds that represent the 10 decades this GB covers, as well as the diversity of, for example aircraft types. My own initial choices would be either a Formaplane Hawker Henley, or a Contrail Fairey Hendon Perhaps we could collate the build list into decades, which would identify any gaps. Thoughts ?
