Crimbo banner

Recommended Posts

Well, thank you to our hosts for the new interactive snow banner specially given to us unworthy proletariats.  Maybe it is the alcohol talking but I love changing the snow direction between reading posts. 😁

I don't mind the banner, but do the snow flakes have to be blue?

Umm... they're not. You would seem to have some serious colour calibration issues with either your eyes, or your monitor. (I actually went to the trouble of turning on the new theme just to check. My monitor's colour calibrated and the flakes are white.)

I will now turn them off again.

Just for interest, what colour is the 'Britmodeller.com' text on your screen?

That's funny. Here at home the snowflakes are indeed blue, while at work where I posted last time they were white.... something fishy going on here...

BTW. 'Britmodeller.com' text is white as the driven snow, well, not the blue driven snow obviously.

Can we make it other colours?  I would like RLM 66 please.

What on earth is “crimbo”?

It the same thing as X mas. The website software doesn’t seem to like that word without a gap after the X:blink:

I feel the same, it's quite fun but, for some weird reason, It makes me think of those early space-invader games   and I want to try and shoot them down :undecided: but the mouse doesn't shoot!

The text is white, as you would expect and my monitor is colour calibrated, but the snow flakes are cyan with a black outline.

That is most odd. GPU drawing issues? If you ever sort it out, it would be interesting to know what causes it.

It's annoying, uses enough of my laptops resources that it kicks on the fans.

It would be fine if the smegging cat would stop trying to catch them

Now the flakes are starting to accumulate!

Can I get a virtual shovel? I'm beginning to have concerns about avalanches...

I've been trying to get them right across the screen using the mouse (how sad can you get)....

Having lived in Africa (coming from the UK) for the past 37 years, I've become alergic to snow. Mainly because we don't get too much of it down here. Yes you can if you feel the need go and look for it on the one and only ski resort we have but hey...

My bros in Swindon sent me pics of his farmhouse covered in the stuff, I felt a distincy chill at the sight of it. Please if you enjoy being frozen, then wrap up warm and keep it to yourself. I'm quite happy with my 22/34 degrees c. A cold G&T and my modelling under the pation umbrella will suit me just fine. Pass me a nother pair of cool shorts darling...
