Eduard Bf 109 E-1 2/JG26 1/48

Recommended Posts

Hello folks. This is a nearly OOB built for a little exercise in Luftwaffe painting. But hell! Those kits are not conceived to be panel closed so the little walk in the countryside became a real struggle! The second point is the angle of the undercarriage, so once finished, and plainly dissatisfied with the stance of the model, I broke both legs to do them right. Yes I know, modeling is fun! This is the plane of Fritz Losigkeit, StaffelKapitan of 2/JG26 at Werl in March 40. All paint are Mr color lacquers, weathering was done with oils. Cheers.

Great looking early pattern 109! Are the aerial insulators just dabs of glue painted white to simulate these often-omitted details? I always have a problem getting these to look right in the scale I'm working on. Like the weathering too.

Yes Paul, just white glue globs painted white once dry.
