TEXANTOMCAT
Hi All, Now I can't confess to being a Tintin fan when I were a sprog but I came across these models I'd not seen before- there are some real oddballs which might be rife for conversion - have no idea what scale they are - some seem to be resin, some diecast - they do a Percival Prentice!!! There are some real oddballs there! Apologies if in wrong place I havent seen em before! Worth spending a couple of mins looking at though! https://boutique.tintin.com/en/tintin-figurines-and-objects/tintin-transport.html?&is_ajax=1&p=1 ATB TT
Paul J
They're great! I always liked the TinTin series on TV. Have a boxed set of DVd with several stories. One 'Red Aeroplane' among them is a Chipmunk. I recall seeing someone made a modle of it from the Airfic kit. Not sure where the markings came from though. Also Blue Rider did a few decals for some of the other aircraft like the Bordurian Me109 and the Thompsons Tiger Moth.
TEXANTOMCAT
Ta Paul - Yep I think one of the model mags did a Tintin Spitfire and a Tintin Mossie in the markings from the books? I thought these were ace - there must be a helluva market for them to tool up though. A friend of a friend specialises in decorgifying (my word) diecast Corgi aircraft, tearing em to bits, superdetailling them like a normal kit then whacking them back together. I wondered if that might be possible with these, especially as they are fairly esoteric types - and IIRC no-one does a Prentice! TT
fightersweep
Oh yes! I like those a lot! Thanks for sharing. And to think that I've been looking for a Prentice everywhere! I wonder what scale it is?
85sqn
I recently spotted the Prentice in a stationery shop in Edinburgh and thought it looked lovely!

John Aero
Yes, the Tintin transport is fun, but has varied scales. One new one not on that list is the Swissair bus complete with a full set of passengers (£75). I saw it last weekend as there is a shop in Sheringham Norfolk which stocks them. The Tiger I think is 48th but many of the vehicles are around 43rd. Most of them are recognizable and are based on a known type (some very obscure).
