Dean
Hello everyone, I'm Dean and my main area is WW1 aircraft. I'd finished a Special Hobby 1/48 Pfalz DXII and would have progressed to a Revell 1/48 Bristol Fighter. But, I finished reading Dr John Sugden's huge biography of Nelson and realised I'd never built a Victory, so I put the aircraft aside to be started later. I've got the Airfix 1/180 kit here, and it's pretty outdated. The moulding on the hull sides is coarse, with huge joints between planks. I'm not quite sure how I'll tackle this; maybe fill all the plank joints, or maybe rub all the detail down flush? Still thinking about it. Niknak
Hi Dean, welcome to britmodeller, if the joints are raised you could sand them down and rescribe them. Look forward to seeing your work soon
Don149
Hi Dean , try converting to double plank on frame ship modelling , it will keep you busy for months . But beware , it can be very addictive ! . Don .
