robgizlu
I finished this a few years back using the Airfix kit and augmenting weapons with Coastal Craft offerings. I came across Kev's (Longshanks) build during the build which was an added inspiration. I should have replaced the stern steps with wire and shusshhhh - don't tell anyone but the mast is in the wrong place ......... (You live and learn) Thanks for looking Rob Edited November 21, 2017 by robgizlu "Vosper"

stevehnz
Wonderfully well done Rob, you've made a beautiful job of this. I've an ambition to do something similar one of these days years, albeit to a lesser standard than this one. Have you made any progress on your 63' BPB MGB? That's another I'm keen to do down the track too. Steve.

Gimme Shelter
really great modelling - I don't suppose for a moment that Airfix had any idea how popular this kit would end up becoming - a real classic made to look so very real

Theo217
Vosper type 1 number 380 was my grandads torpedo boat, Henry Douglass Kieth Scott (Leutenant Commander) before this he was on HMS Fiji when it sank. Cool to see someone made a model of it.
robgizlu
Theo - that is fascinating. I don't suppose that you have any of Grandad's pics of the boat? They'd be great to see if there are some. Did he have any particular stories about her? Rob
Terry1954
Very nice build Rob. This has spurred me on to get back to the Vosper I recently started, just need to get several aircraft projects done and dusted! Great bit of history there @Theo217 helps bring excellent builds like this alive. Terry
