wavodavo
Hello This one has been 5 years in the making. Initially this was going to be the RAE XH897 Javelin but after a diecast version was coming out I decided to change it. As I had already started painting it, I had got up to starting to put the red on. I now then had to remove the paint - which was a big problem in the end but got there with parts breaking off too. Another problem was with the canopy, with 5 years of having masking tape on it, it had frosted over and did not cut back. In the end I had to rub it down and paint it. With the repairs carried out I decided to do it as the other RAE Javelin XA778. To make it the FAW2, the rear fuselage and jet pipes were cut off from the cheap FAW7 Polish kit and contoured in. Paints used were Tamiya sprays and decals were a mix of kit and Xtradecals. TonyW
That's a nice looking save. It's got a very period look to it, the painted canopy helps there a lot. tony.
