Gav G
Does anyone know how to make True Blue ANA501 / FS 15102 from Tamiya paints? I've seen XF-18 recommended but I don't have the paint to make a test sample and the swatches on the internet vary enormously! Thanks!
GordonM
According to iModelKit they recommend XF8, although it’s too dark. Tamiya TS Raybrig blue is a very close match, although it’s a limited colour apparently
Greenshirt
X-4 is actually not bad. It’s a gloss. XF-8 is not too bad. Either are close enough for me that I would not try to mix True Blue. If, however, you need to match to a decal...you’ll notice a difference. Gav G
Thanks, I already have X-4 so I'll start from that, it looks a but dark for ANA 501 but I can always have a play with some mixing. I'm not matching to a decal so ultra-precise matching isn't needed.
