Zigomar
Certainly the Best French fighter of the desperate struggle of May/June 40. This plane belongs to the Sub/Lt Blancke (5kills) belonging to the first Escadrille of the GC 1/3 based in Meaux/Esbly in May June 40. Winenut
Tres bien! Really well done indeed Is the pronounced oil weathering/marking/stains common to the 520? Lovely build....the colours look spot on Cheers

Actually no oil but gazoline splits, and I have used pictures of the aircraft in the period concerned to duplicate this effect. Otherwise the planes were brand new and had no time to get old in those hot days of May/Ju 1 hour ago, RidgeRunner said: Hi! That's 1/72? John Masters
Excellent work! Love those Dewoitine designs... My favourite will always be the sporty 500/510 series.
Zigomar
Thanks a lot! Yes Emile Dewoitine was a great engineer and he conceived some great airplanes; The D520 came too late to change the fate of the Battle of France, but, in its own rights , she was a very good machine. Thanks for all your comments.
spitfire
One of my favourite looking aircraft, and those French camouflage colours look great, a fine build. Cheers Dennis

Meatbox8
A beautiful rendition, Zigomar. Such a good looking aeroplane. I wonder how things would have gone if all the Groupes de Chasse were equipped with the D.520. I like the fuel stains. Evidence of hasty re-fuelling in the field from jerry cans, perhaps? Certainly much better than with the obsolete MS406! Thanks for your comment.
