Trumpeter 1/48 MiG-19PM Farmer E

Recommended Posts

Hello!

This is my first build on this forum.
Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-19 (NATO reporting name: Farmer) is a Soviet second-generation, single-seat, twin jet-engined fighter aircraft. It was the first Soviet production aircraft capable of supersonic speeds in level flight.

Nice work! I have the same kit with the same aftermarket sets. You want to look at the leading edge of the wing as they seem to rounded to me. ?What do you think? I have started reshaping them by sanding the mating surfaces down and it has helped.

Great looking build!

Where did you get that tape dispenser? It looks quite handy for the work bench!

Ooh yes; love that dispenser!  [How sad is it to get excited about a plastic tape dispenser...?]

The Mig-17 is good too, I hasten to add!  Really nice subtle panel variations; it's very easy to overdo that, but you seem to be doing it just right.

:rofl2: Oh, I guess you'd be surprised if you learnt of all those other modelling-related stuff I got excited about.

Thanks for the tape dispenser link! Got one ordered! It'll definitely help with organizing the bench.

Looking forward to the rest of your build!
