Want to give a AlcladII coated model a clear coat, recommendations?

Having done the CA-15 Prototype in high gloss aluminium, I find that I'd like to give it a gloss coat to protect the Alclad paint, which I find to be not as durable as wished.

I can never get Alclad the way I want it, but applying a clear cote will reduce the shine from experience. I found Alclad aluminium with a gloss cote was virtually identical to the citadel chain mail silver straight out of an airbrush which was much more durable (all in the same build - academy b29 Washington on here somewhere!)

Hello Finn if i am correct you should use Alclad Aqua Gloss alc-600 for the high polished colors...

You can use it on other paints then Alclad as well...

Agree with that - the Aqua Gloss from their own range is high gloss and I do not feel effects the metallic effect of the paint. Their semi gloss (semi matt cote) does also look quite good for " scale effect" of NMF for in service type of aircraft.
