Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin - Tamiya 1/6 (More photos added - 17/11/17)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Thought I'd try something new for this post. Here's my Tamiya Africa Twin, finished apart from the Honda badges (which are still giving me grief!). Finished in Dark Mica Blue with Light Gun Metal on the rims. Painted with a mixture of Tamiya TS and acrylics, with a splash of Alclad II and Mr Metal Color. Only added extra was the Tamiya chain set. Hope you like it. My first big scale bike and an awesome kit!

EDIT: Click on the image for the video - need to figure out how to embed the video directly!

Andrew,

Absolutely STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL. :Tasty:

It's a real  beauty and very artistically  and aesthetically pleasing to  the eye.

What better Eye Candy than this IMMACULATE  Honda..  I can see one riding this thru the mountains of Stellenbosch with the scenery flying by.:hypnotised:

The video presentation is IMPECCABLE as your build. And it looks SO real that I forgot I was looking at a model.:wow::heart:

KUDOS ....:worthy:  :worthy:

WOW Andrew an absolutely stunning build with an amazing presentation using the video. That could almost be taken for an official Honda promo. I wonder if Tamiya will do the latest Adventure version, or parts for it. Great to see another bike build in this section.

Finally finished the badges and took some more photos.

I realise I goofed up mixing the paint for the clutch and alternator covers - I think I picked up X-32 instead of X-33 - but I quite like the result anyway.

Cheers,

Andrew
