Olli
I'm new to the forum so time to introduce myself. Currently living in Cardiff but come from the little island of Portland. I pretty much model what takes my fancy but tend to go for things that are different, interesting or mean something to me (albiet tenuously). Been modelling for a few years now. Currently working on a Wetland Lynx AH7 which is going fairly well so far.

Olli
Thanks for all the welcomes!! LostCosmonauts, the main reason for a lack of photos is due to me not knowing how to do it... anyway I've worked it out now after a trip to the FAQ's (unless you can't see any photos then it's back to square one). Now I will be honest and say they're nothing to the standard to what I've seen browsing the forums, but I'm picking up tips on here, and working it all out eventually. That and I don't have a spray gun so everything is brush painted, but Christmas isn't too far away so fingers crossed . I'd also like to note I'm certainly no photographer so sorry for the poor quality images (hides the rough edges mind). I haven't got photos of all my models but here are a few; Airfix 1/72 Male Tank. I was quite chuffed with how the paint came out on this one, it surprised me! Airfix 1/72 Handley-Page 0/400. My first try at stringing (not sure if that's the right term) and not bad I thought, though I got the Dihedral all wrong. Airfix 1/72 RNLI Severn Class. I couldn't resist this one. Airfix 1/72 (noticing a trend??) Avro Vulcan. Big is beautiful right! I didn't have any filler at the time though so please ignore the massive panel gaps! So that's a few of the builds I've done, nothing special but keeps me out of trouble
Eric Mc
Good start. "Stringing" is usually referred to as "rigging". On real biplanes, rigging wires gave the aircraft extra strength and the wires could be tightened or slackened off as required in order to ensure the aircraft flew properly.
