A simple and effective scheme, brilliantly painted. Outstanding model.

Congrats

Really good. I'm envious. :jealous:

If only the Scarlets could always get a finish like that!

Not that they're doing too bad at the moment.......... :D

Beautiful build with a very nice paint job.

Is this one of the decal options ?

Yes mate thats the boxtop option.

Cracking build! As others have said the tail mottles are gorgeous.

However to me the pics seem very matt and/or a bit grainy like the lens of the camera wasn’t clean though?

Doesn’t detract too much though.

Cheers BerndM. It is finished as one of the options in the kit. As luck would have it, Tony Oliver did an outstanding job on the other decal option which can be found here :

Ha ! Scarlets doing okay but it depends on which competition you're talking about - Pro 14 (:thumbsup2:) or European Cup ()

You got further than I did. How did you get those checkers to behave? That was the point of my no return. Nice job on the build.

Let's just say they didn't behave.... There was a bit of cracking near the tail fillet on both sides so I had to touch up with paint. (Still pinching myself at managing to mix up the right shade of blue !  :D)

Great work on the camouflage. The thought of trying to reproduce that mottling frightens the life out of me.

Go on and have a bash. This was actually the first time that I applied mottling with an airbrush. What you don't see are all of the experiments I did on a flat sheet of paper and the trouble I had translating the technique onto a three dimensional surface.

Thanks Tony. I just wished I'd seen your WIP before I started mine but I was desperate to actually finish something after staring at the modelling bone-yard on our dining-room table for weeks.

As for the quality of the pics, I've been using a Video camera for taking still pictures, and I suspect that zooming in too closely doesn't do much for picture quality. :)

Best Regards
