New guy on the block

[Hamsterman]

Not to be confused with new kids on the block...

 

I'm Chris.  Hamsterman is a nickname that I picked up from a friend in grad school a while back.  Like many here I wear a number of hats.  I'm a science geek by day and husband and father of three by night.  We live in Minnesota where you'll find us camping/canoeing/fishing on one of our 10,000 lakes or out hitting the soccer pitch or volleyball court with my kids.  I got into model airplanes back when I was about 8 or 9 and my grandfather gave me the Monogram 1/72 B-26 snap-tite kit and I've been interested in the hobby ever since.  Lately I haven't had too much time to actually participate in building models but I do a fair amount of research for future builds; especially aircraft that flew in the Mediterranean theater of ops.  For the past 8 years or so I've been working with some people researching B-25s of the 57th Bomb Wing (MTO; USAAF) which has been a blast.

Hello Chris ... Welcome to Britmodeller from Chicago. Fully understand the slowdown .. we all have them from time to time when life gets in the way. Looking forward to seeing your work someday hopefully sooner than later but no rush.
