1/48 Afrika Korps and Desert Rats?

I'm interested in doing a few figures in 1/48 scale from the North Africa theatre in WWII, but aside from the Tamiya Afrika Korps set, I'm not finding too much out there.  Anyone have any suggestions for nice Afrika Korps and/or 8th Army infantry figures in this scale?  Metal would be great, but resin or plastic works, too.  40mm scale wargaming figures would probably also work.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Other than Tamiya I am not sure.

 

Alpine Minitures do a fair bit of German WWII including DAK http://www.alpineminiatures.com/35figures.html but they are 1/35th scale.

 

There is the old DAK and 8th Army 32scale stuff from Airfix and or Revell which were plastic.

 

I guess you want them for the 48th scale vehicles as not much use those links.

I built the DAK Tamiya figures (there were 3 or 4 if my memory serves me right), but the same memory tells me that they were in 1/35 scale.

Did Tamiya make a 1/48 scale DAK boxing as well?

Finding DAK and 8th Army figures is difficult., but there are some by Gasoline.

Bandai did make plastic figures in 1/48ma set is currently on    oldmodelkits.com web they are german for $20,u could mold them for metal and convert
