rob Lyttle
Looking suitably meeeean and dangerous, Dave. I love these things ! I remember reading about their decision to introduce some A10s to the Red Flag type exercises. How the Top Gun Aces laughed... until they realised it could turn on a "dime" and suddenly you were looking down the barrels of a gun that can take a tank apart with just one! A10s got themselves quite a reputation and respect on combat games.
DaveJL
Thanks mate. It certainly is one heck of a machine. Designed for a job that it does well, hard to knock! I certainly enjoyed seeing them in Tucson when I visited in 2016.

DaveJL
Wash on first thing this morning:   Off after about 40 minutes:   I left some of the residual around the pylons to simulate oil/grease. Once that was sorted, I added the landing gear and the majority of the  ordnance:   Next up is a flat coat then the weathering  Dave

DaveJL
More done and i've managed to get most of the weathering added. The base of 'soot' along the fuselage was added with a black rattle can, applied in thin layers. I then added Tamiya weathering pigments over this. Still some more to add but i'm pleased with it so far: Â Â Close enough: Â Â The dirt on the sides of the fuselage was further added to with streaks of Tamiya smoke. Â Still a bit more weathering to go(on the pylons, some more oil streaks etc)Â then just need to add the remaining bombs and the canopy parts. DaveJL
Thanks chaps. Still needs some work to get the weathering sitting a little bit better, but hey, at least it's fun! Â Dave
DaveJL
Bit more done this morning. Finished off the weathering, added the remaining bombs and added the windshield and ejection seat: Â Â Despite my best efforts, it's a tail sitter!! Â More soon.
