qn30jEkPz7
I’m chuffed with how the last turned out so thinking on (since I used to live on the West coast of Scotland & rock climb) an 819 squadron Navy Sea King recovering a fallen climber Holding page while I gather my thoughts and bits and pieces https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/REVELL-04411-1-72-SEA-KING-MK-41-SKUA-MISSILES-MODEL-KIT-15-00-BUY-IT-NOW/311975907089?hash=item48a3368f11:g:ZsUAAOSwF71Z2UiJ https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/MA7267 https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/PJ721126 http://www.gaugemaster.com/item_details.asp?code=FA151084&style=&strType=&Mcode=Faller+151084
Badder
Pretty expensive figures considering the scale! Is this going to be a 'tall' diorama? Like, are they going to be rescued from the top of The old man of Hoy? I'm picturing a diorama in a 'long clock case'. qn30jEkPz7
True @Badder - the mountain rescue dudes are too small really. Mostly saved for reference. I’m hoping not too tall. Maybe just 40cm or so but a bit of cardboard mocking up needs to happen

But then you'd have to have more height to get a slope where the helicopter could hover directly over the stranded climbers. I am intrigued to see what you do. To me planning ahead is something I have trouble with. I constantly get 'better' ideas and change plans very quickly! For instance a 'cliff rescue' might evolve into a 'rescue from an oil rig'!!!! qn30jEkPz7
Cobbling stuff together in a flurry of card and masking tape again to try and crystallise my thinking. Thinking of a bit of sheer cliff with a flat area of foreground with a casualty being winched up Cliff something like: And then a couple of attempts to rough together a composition: Needs some more thought
Badder
I really like the way that you make mock-ups of the scene before you go ahead. This is something that I DON'T DO EVER, and I suffer for it! In fact, I am suffering right now with my current build! Without the figures and chopper, it's hard to picture the relative sizes of everything, however, it seems to me that the ledge is rather large, so would it not be easier for the chopper to land rather than hover and winch the casualty up? You want to make sure that the ledge is clearly narrow and no way can the chopper land. That's my penny's worth anyway. Reaguards, Badder
