Bozothenutter
Find an old Monogram Blue thunder kit and do some serious scratchbuilding? it's 1/32.... and somebody is already doing it.... http://kfbmilitaryinscale.blogspot.nl/2010/07/132-sa-341-gazelle-kitech-conversion.html Edited October 25, 2017 by Bozothenutter
Don McIntyre
I wouldn't be surprised if the Fujimi kit was 1/50 as well. They can be a little sloppy about their labelling. Someone who knows will likely be along shortly…
Guest
yes, many 70's fujimi kits were in 50sc, yep, as the A-6A,the TA-4J and so on but again on Gazelle:wich of the two kits is more simple to find today ?
k5054nz
I can only finish your sentence: "...non-existent!" I still hope 1/48 helicopters will make a resurgence beyond the gunships and occasional troop transport. A 1/48 Gazelle would do nicely. Don McIntyre
I see the Fujimi kit pop up on eBay more often than I see the Heller kit.
Colin W
Hi I can't say I have seen the Heller one but I have built 2 of the Fujimi kits and they come out nicely. I have filled the void under the floor with lead to improve the sit but otherwise they are from the box. Colin
Ex-FAAWAFU
Clearly this thread started twice; I’ve just answered the other one! I have both kits, and Fujimi is better (though yes, it is 1/50). It still needs a fair amount of work (cockpit detail pretty ordinary, and of course very visible!), and Colin is right to mention the need for under floor weight. But you can make a decent Gazelle out of it in the end.
