Cadman
Another example of the fantasy figures I like to do when I take a break from plastic scale modelling is this tremendous little 54mm white metal set from Pegaso Models. She's not just quite finished as I still need to sort the reins out on the Polar Bear. I tried these, but didn't like them cos they're way too thick; Tried these, but don't like them either. However, I've found some very fine chain in the wife's dressing table that would work pretty well. Just need to get brave enough to appropriate it. I did consider doing her with very pale flesh tones, but finally just decided to go with blue for that otherworldly look. Reckon she turned out okay.
Schwarz-Brot
Yes, this kind of makes her special. Also it picks up the colours of the backdrop which helps pulling everything together. Then the blue colour provides an even more mystical aura to her and sets the focus in all that white. Skin tones, especially cold ones, would probably be too pale to work as focal point.
Niknak
Excellent Painting. I think figure painting is the hardest to do.

I've often found that it depends on the sculpt. A good one can make the painting process very much easier than it might appear at first glance.

Got a new Spartan vignette coming up -- plus a Fantasy Roman diorama inspired by this Manfredi book. Still got a fair amount to do on a couple of the figures I'm going to use though, so they're both going to take a couple of weeks yet.
