Michael M
To be honest it's kind of an art for the art's sake, most of it will be bearly visible. I will put the crew all aroud the ship in time, but puting them inside would be a waste. There will be some lads in them opened hatches on the side though. But I'm glad I got you interested Edited November 1, 2017 by Michael M

Michael M
That postman is a strange man, he keeps bringing me some oddball stuff... Only 2 years between these two entered service, but you can clearly see that they didn't play in the same league Little froggie filled, from tomorrow on it'll be sanding filling again and so on......in other words.... GOOD FUN. 1
Michael M
Some work done. I've added missing keels, there still two bilge ones left, but these are kit parts, so should't be a problem. Thanks for watching Mick

Killingholme
Out of interest, what references are you using for the additional detailing (such as the additional keels?) Wil

Bandsaw Steve
Fair enough! 👍I thought it might have been some fangled new way of looking for surface imperfections.

Michael M
That is a way for finding imperfections Steve As for detailing i have very nice book about French battleships plus some nice original plans of Danton. French archives shared them for free at some stage about 10 years ago and then changed their minds and started charging for them. I was lucky enough to get them for free If you want them PM me with e-mail address. Edited November 29, 2017 by Michael M 2
Francis Macnaughton
In fact the French archives plans are available via the Dreadnought Project website: http://dreadnoughtproject.org/French Warship Plans/Danton_1909/

Michael M
Sprayed Tapes off, generally turned out OK, little bits to correct here and there, but nothing serious. This picture shows ( more less ) the purpose of the whole exercise, before touching it with sandpaper ( clearly visible ridge ) After first swipe with 1000 paper, still not ready, but clearly better Thanks for watching Cheers Mick
