F-102A Pitot

I've got my hands on a Meng F-102A XX wing kit, and very nice it looks in the box too.

However, the instructions call for a red/white striped pitot tube (or, at least, for most of its length). Any handy hints on how to achieve this without placing my eyesight and sanity at too great a risk?

The decal sheets pointed to have a carrier film over the entire surface, meaning they need to be trimmed their entire length. While admittedly mine are quite old, they tend to break apart a lot, requiring additional decal film to be added to the sheet. Also, they then become so thick that they don't like to bend around small diameter things!

Perhaps a newer sheet might work better. Also, they do work fine on larger diameters, such as fuselage turbine warning stripes...

Negative mate.

I have the xtradecal stripes which were bought last year and each stripe is individual and printed by microscale so very thin and flexible. As good as you are going to get.
