zebra
I know very little about the Winter War/Continuation War but I'd be interested in this one. There's a new Blenheim coming next year after all.
John Masters
Thanks Zebra. I'll put you on the list...that makes 11...

vppelt68
John, as the Continuation war ended in 1944 let´s go for its 75th anniversary in the autumn of 2019! V-P
John Masters
Ok...that's fine. A long time to wait...
modelling minion
But worth waiting for! And as it coincides with the anniversary it really should be 2019.
vppelt68
Yes, 80 years from the beginning of the Winter War and 75 years from the end of the Continuation War. Although we turned our coats upsidedown and forced the Germans off Lapland with the third, the Lapland War, until the spring of 1945. That was a nasty one too - but Finland was threated by the Soviets entering (what was left of) our country to push the Germans away if we don't do that ourselves. Being between a rock and a hard place, that's the story of Finland between 1939 and 1945!

John Masters
Thanks Martin. That's 13...so we'll keep the list going for the latter part of 2018 or 2019. I think we are too late for the upcoming round.
JackG
I've been thinking of doing a captured T-26 1933 model, (known as type T-26B with Finnish forces), but my god a lot of fixes to the HobbyBoss kit if one desires accuracy: http://www.track-link.com/forums/site_blogs/19436/flat regards, Jack
John Masters
I think you should do it! Even without all incredible fixes on the linked page, it'll make an excellent edition to the mix. So is that 14?
Robert Stuart
Oh, this will be interesting - no idea what I'll build, but I'm in

SleeperService
My only connection to Finland is Black death vodka (when I could handle alcohol). I will use this GB to establish a slightly bigger claim. I'm thinking 1/48 KV tank captured in Finnish service or Red Army. Maybe both. Anyone recommend a source for more information on these conflicts preferably in English?
John Masters
Thanks SleeperService...unfortunately this GB will not be a 'go' for 2018, so let's keep it going until the new voting tales place for the 2019 GB list, ok? I'm still in! --John
