iSteve
I was putting together an order through my regular hobby supplier and noticed Stynylrez Metal Primer is now in the lineup. Anyone try this stuff? Any interesting qualities?
fewr9fkr9595
Yeah it’s not bad mate. Will get a pic up of something I sprayed later. Its a flat silver finish. I wouldn’t say its good enough to use as a straight NMF but it will help as a base to start building up the finish you want without having to drown a kit in silver paint. Eg using thin layers of these new style acrylic water based metals like the mission ones, mig ammo, Vallejo metal colors - or similar, they would all give a great finish over this primer I reckon. janneman36
My experience is the same as Tony I have no pictures to show at the moment but it is a good base for alclad.. When I got it two months ago I tried a piece of fuselage with alclad and I must say it has potential it looked perfectly metal and it didn't came of easily.. As promised: Against the ‘metal mule’ which has alclad and xtremes on it. In isolation. 1/72 Hobbyboss F-14 intake fans. 1/48 F-14 P&W cowl by Katran Resin. Quite a matt alu finish 👍🏿 Hope this helps mate.
