1/72 Beaufighter MK1F

High Planes kits usually scrub up quite well but, like marriage, they are not to be undertaken unadvisedly or lightly.  Were I to build the Beaufighter II I have in the stash, I would probably rob the new Airfix kit for a lot of the components, especially the interior.  I'm not falling over myself in admiration of the Airfix kit (the detail parts are softly moulded and on the one I'm building at the moment the fit, while not bad, has not been stellar) but I reckon it'll be a whole lot less work than the HP kit.  Airfix kit plus Alley Cat conversion for me.
