Steven F Udvar Hazy Centre

F-32

I managed to grab a couple of personal days during a trip to the east coast last month and visited the Steven F Udvar Hazy Centre. The lighting sucks but the content is superb as are the raised walkways.

Some interesting pics. The S-62 (like a half size Sea King) would be nice in kit form and I don't think there ever was one. I recall seing the DO335 at a Hannover Air Show back in 1976,

Are the mix of colours and markings on the P-40E right? It looks a bit of a medley to me.  Will need to go back and look at the rest now.

Thanks for posting.

Great pictures,  thank you for posting.  It really is a superb aviation collection, I could have spent days there.  Pound for pound it's the best collection I've visited, the only one that rivals it for me in terms of significant airframes (although on a much smaller scale) is The Science Museum's.

Only downside for me at Dulles was the restricted choice of refreshment options...
